Gary J Sbona Honors Program South American Trip

This past summer, 20 Sbona honors students, led by faculty members Jeanne Sawyer and Bill DeVincenzi, went to Santiago, Chile and Buenos Aires, Argentina, on a business, study and cultural tour of these two great South American capitals.  Students visited Universities, Corporations, government agencies, the world’s largest copper mine, and the US Embassy, learning how business is done in and with these countries.  They were also taken to historical and cultural sites to broaden their knowledge of the people and their heritage.  For most students, it was the highlight of their college career.

This past December, 27 Sbona honor students graduated with honors from the College of Business.  In the spring semester, 75 students are enrolled in the program, applying what they have learned in the classroom to real world business problems in businesses throughout Silicon Valley.  They continue to be our most sought after graduates.

Recruiting students for the fall 2010 semester will begin in April with an application deadline of April 23rd.
