On November 17th in the City Hall Rotunda, the Global Leadership Advancement Center (GLAC) launched its Global Leader Breakfast Speaker Series, featuring Chris DiGiorgio, Managing Director at Accenture, Co-Chair of Joint Venture Silicon Valley and a member of the Executive Committee of the Bay Area Council, Bay Area Economic Forum board, and The Tech Museum of Innovation board. After an introduction by Mayor Chuck Reed, Mr. DiGiorgio spoke on “Leading in a Time of Globalization.” Joyce Osland, executive director, briefly presented GLAC’s goals and programs. The event, organized by Assistant Director Jeff Gaines, was attended by over 100 alumni, local business people, MBA students, outstanding IB majors, and student leaders. The event was sponsored by the Donald and Sally Lucas Foundation and Pearson Higher Education. The next speaker in the series is Nobel Laureate and economist Joseph Stiglitz on February 23, 2010.
